Part Man, Part Beast!
Winter had come and gone, and King Adam had decided it was time to convene with the other royals and nobles within the Twelve Kingdoms and Parable. After the first few battles, the former Beast didn’t particularly want to have another one, but it seemed inevitable. All of the Kingdoms had lost good soldiers and some good Legends had died. The Twelve Kingdoms and the whole of Parable couldn’t live in fear any longer, and actually weren’t – a rebel group had been formed, secretly led by him, the Beast. The King of Barbot sighed as he made his way to the stables. A carriage was not fitting for where he was going – the place had to remain a secret, not even his servants knew about this place.

Adam rode hard and fast. He had told Gerald and the others that he was going out for a few hours. Beauty would be there if they needed anything, anyway; she hadn’t felt like coming, which was perfectly fine with him. The King of the Fifth Kingdom had sent word to the other Kingdoms, including Symphonia and Mageia to certain royals and nobles, to meet him at the council chambers in the Ninth Kingdom, for a council meeting. He didn’t want the Sovereign to discover the council chambers. Sometimes, Adam wished that he could shift from Adam to Beast at will so he could do more to protect the Twelve Kingdoms and Parable. He missed the thick layer of fur he had – it kept him warm in the winter, somewhat, and he was sure Beau missed it too. However, he couldn’t think of the past – it wasn’t good. The future is what mattered.

Adam passed through the other Kingdoms: Mageia, Kennochlazne, Enchantea and then came into Casarina, the Ninth Kingdom, which was his destination. He came to a bit of countryside with a pile of huge rocks. He patted his horse and slipped in between a crack and dashed down a flight of built-in earthen stairs. The council chamber was a round dome, under the ground, which was actually under the castle. There was a table with food and drink appearing out of nowhere, as if there were invisible servants about the place, which there probably were. The former Beast went to one of the numerous chairs around a round table, with a goblet of wine and food and waited for the others to come. If only they could meet under more peaceful circumstances and with more joyous news.

drag my teeth across your chest to taste your beating heart
The saints can't help me now, the ropes have been unbound I hunt for you with bloodied feet across the hallow'd ground
Just as the others, He'd received word from King Adam regarding this meeting of sorts. A meeting that if it had not been for the chance of this war spreading to his own kingdom of Parable. The King of the Jungle would not have attended. This so called war coming was something the entirety of the kingdoms could not face on their own. Akela knew, and understood such things. Though the concerns of men little nothing to the Jungle. This time however was different, this Sovereign had already taken over one of the other kingdoms. Though as before it was no his concern. The Law of the Jungle was not the law men held.

The Wolf King did not travel on horse back, nor carriage, but by the strength of his own flanks, the power of his shoulders and the hardness of his paws. Crossing lands he'd not in years. Though Leah was not one to just let him leave with out reason, she understood that it was duty that called to him. A call as strong and true as the sky. It was un breakable. She would lord over the pack and the jungle for the night, Leah was just as powerful as her mate. She had to be.

As he passed the borders of men, the branches of the woods where not disturbed, a true hunter racing through the night. Ears laid flat to the back of his head. The great wolf stopped only for a moment as he approached the castle and its stoned form. Though he was familiar with the touch of stone and rock, it was not every day a wolf passed through streets. There was no foliage, no trees to hide him in this place. The smells that assaulted his sensitive senses were an ever reminder of why he stayed to his world.

However, just as Adam and Beauty before him. Akela to would pass under the cracks and into the structure below. Though before their horses could be startled by the sight of a large wolf, Akela's form morphed and changed, an ability he seldom used. Regardless of how natural it was.

With still sharp reflexes, he slipped passed the horses and into the stair case. Even though to the eye he appeared a man, his features will still incredibly lupine in form. Bearing sharper canines, sharp features. However he paused during his descent into the chambers. Voices, Clearly he wasn't interrupting anything.

"It is a rare pleasure to be among humans" He spoke with a most unused voice, near hoarse from its disuse for so long. Though a howl in any form would be just as powerful. He stood behind the woman in his black leather tunic and matching leather pants. Though he wore no shoes as his feet bore claws as did his fingers.

You are the moon that breaks the night for which I have to howl

It wasn't often that he would leave the safety of his own home, but now was the time to leave it. He had to leave his family without his protection. And he wasn't happy with it either, but it had to be done. Right now he was atop of his horse, a few of his soldiers werd with him, all keeping a watchfull eye out for any sign of danger.

And now they werd here, because Adam, known as Beast, had asked for a meeting. The castle looked so much different. Where his home looked Bright and inviting, this didn't look like home and gave Philip an feeling that he wasn't welcome here. Ignoring it he got off his horse, giving him to one of the stablehands and walked into the castle, his face held his famous glare, as if they already had done something wrong. Of course he wasn't to happy. Philip didn't know why, but he just didn't feel like being happy.

Without any knocking he walked into the room, merely looking at Adam and Akela, and sitting down into a chair. He looked different from them already, he wore white and Brown, no dark colors. "so." He only said, looking at both of the men in the room. "What is it you called us for."

It was rare for Hippolyta to leave her people. Themiscyria was her home, after all, and her people needed her there. But the threat of the Sovereign was far too great to ignore, so she had no choice but to heed King Adam’s request and attend the meeting he had invited her to. She sailed at once, taking only her finest warriors with her on her ship. She left her sister in charge, which had perhaps been a mistake, but considering her sister was the heir to the throne, it was perhaps her only option.

She did not come adorned in silks and fine clothes as the other nobles would. Instead, she dressed as the Queen of the Amazons would dress, in her battle attire, and the Amazons did not wear thick, heavy armor like those from the mainland. They wore light clothing that was easy to maneuver in. She wore lighter colors, which contrasted with the darkness that the other members of the meeting seemed to prefer.

As she stepped into the room, she couldn’t help but notice that she was the only woman present. It didn’t surprise her, but it did disgust her. The mainlanders were foolish for not placing women in charge. When would they ever learn? Still, she would not cringe at working with men. Men could have value as well.

As she entered, her eyes flickered to each one, holding their gaze for a long moment before taking her seat. She recognized them all, if not from experience from word of mouth. She was extremely familiar with the political situation of the mainland, and she knew where each of them stood.

Like Philip, she skipped the formalities as she felt no need to introduce herself to those she had not met. They would figure out who she was in time if they did not recognize her already. “I would assume,” she began, glancing at Philip, “the only thing that would call us here would be the threat of this so-called Sovereign.” She then turned to Adam. “In which case, I would suspect you have some sort of plan in mind.”

Beauty had waited until Adam was gone before calling for a guard. She waited impatiently pacing in the entry way for him. She had her cloaked pulled over her shoulders hiding the rest of her body. Her hands rested over her stomach protectively. Absent minded, she rubbed her fingers over them waiting. When her guard showed up she immediately ordered him to get ready to be on the move, she had already had two horses readied, she wouldn't even have bothered with the one guard if Adam not thrown a fit if she showed up without one. Walking outside she pulled her hair back with a piece of leather, she needed to ride hard, she couldn't risk her hair getting in her way.

Soon after they set off on their way soon afterward. Pushing herself she made the journey quickly. Slipping off of her horse she closed her eyes for a moment pushing down the nausea and exhaustion. Resting her hand on her stomach she waved off the guard with her other sighing. Straightening herself she walked in just in time to hear the comments as each of the Lord and the only other lady took their seat. Only three had arrived, that could be a troubling sign, or it could be she was just early. She hoped it was the later.

Smiling she walked to her husband's side, “Do you expect anything else from my beloved Hippolyta?” She nodded towards the woman, "If not between the two of us, I'm sure we could come up with something." She respected the strong woman before her, more than most in her life. Smiling at the other to men she nodded her head, “It's good to see you again my Lords. I wish it were under better circumstances.” Philip was a man she respected enough to trust. Akela...he was a mystery but she trusted him enough to watch out for his own. They couldn't risk anyone sabotaging their plan at this point. She took her seat next to Adam, keeping her cloak loosely wrapped around her body. Looking around it had been long time for this. All she could hope wasn't to late to save their kingdoms.

Part Man, Part Beast!
Adam picked up a smell from outside; the first ruler was here, and he knew which one it was, too. This ruler was not human, making the former Beast smirk a little. He was happy that the Wolf King had come. He trusted the animal ruler implicitly. Adam took a sip from his cup, and nodded to Akela, smiling. It was always amazing to see his friend change from animal to man. The burly, handsome King always wondered how the fellow ruler had gained the power to change into different forms.

“Always good to see you, Akela. Glad you could make it.”

He was about to ask Akela about the nature of his shifting, when Philip barged and demanded to know what this was about. Narrowing his eyes, Adam sighed and sat up a little, deciding the best way to handle this rude entry. He didn’t get to do that, though, for another ruler emerged; one who was female and Queen of an island of female warriors. He hadn’t thought she’d make an appearance, honestly. Hippolyta wasn’t known venture outside her island very often. Well, not this far out, anyway.

“Hello, you two, good to see you. Also, Philip, watch your tongue!” said the former Beast, the last bit with an added growl, just to show Philip that Adam was in charge here. This may be Rapunzel’s Kingdom, but this little chamber was Adam’s place; he’d found it, after all, with Rapunzel’s help, of course. Adam was surprised when a certain someone came through the door; Beauty. He blinked but then composed himself. He’d have to ask her if she was okay, and if she had come by herself. Sighing, the burly, former Beast supposed it was time to get this started. If anyone else came now, they’d have to play catch up; he wasn’t going to go through the whole meeting again, just for them.

He sat up and coughed.

“Thank you all for coming, and I hope you managed to get here undetected. Seems like we’ll have to start without the others, which is a shame, but nothing can be done about it now. You all know why we are here; the Sovereign. He has plagued our lands for too long. It is time he was stopped.”

every rose has it thornes
It was quiet in the citadel of Enchantra. Too quiet for Briar’s liking. She had just returned from a stroll within the city visiting various peoples within her kingdom. After the bustle and shouts of the market and the idle chitter chatter of people in the street. But now back in the citadel there was barely the sound of servants footsteps as they hurried from one room to another. Had something happened while she had been out? Sure if there had it couldn’t be too serious or surely somebody would have sent for her if duty had called. Surely all was fine and she just happen to come back at a quieter time than usual. Having been out in the streets the Briar wasn’t wearing anything particularly fancy, just a royal blue dress and matching cape of a simple but high quality fabric.

Her boots clicked softly against the hard stone floor as she walked down the halls of the citadel. It wasn’t long until her ears heard the soft clang of steel as she neared the bailey where the guards would practice. Maybe she would find her husband there drilling the guards in combat. Her pace quickened slightly at the thought of finding Philip whom had been rather elusive since breakfast as she hadn’t seen him about before she left to visit her people. But he haste was for naught as Philip was nowhere in sight. Instead she found her son, Day practice his way with the sword with the master of arms.

Briar smiled upon seeing her son as he looked so much like his father. Hopefully he will grow to be a good man just like him. Briar watched and waited until he was finished before she approached her son. After congratulating him on his swordsmanship as he was really learning fast she asked him if he had seen his father at all. He mentioned seeing him heading towards the stable but hadn’t seen him since. If Philip had headed towards to stable then he was probably off out a ride or maybe even a little hunting? Surely he would return for the evening, as it wasn’t like Philip to take off without any explanation or reason.

Briar then made her way to her chambers to tidy up her hair a little as the wind had whipped it out of place while she had been out in the streets. Sitting down at the table in the room she shared with her husband she began to brush the loose strands of her hair back into place when she notice a letter upon the table hold the seal of King Adam of Barbot. It seem the letter had already been opened mostly likely by Philip as the seal was broken. Pausing from tend to her hair Briar picked up the letter and began to read. The letter explained the absence of her husband, though she did wonder why he had not sent for her once he had learnt it’s nature. Maybe he thought that he could handle the matter on their behalf but while Briar did trust him she would rather be there with him if she could.

So quickly she caled for her horse to be readied before slipping on her riding leathers underneath her dress as their wasn’t time for her to get changed fully. Her boots and legging would be sufficient for this journey. She then hurried down to the stable where a stable hand had her horse ready for her to mount. She thanked him before pulling up the hood to her cloak and riding out of the Citadel into the Kingdom of Enchantra. It wasn’t long until she was racing on her grey destrier through the forests of the eighth kingdom towards the border that would lead her into the ninth.

Soon Briar was slowing her horse to a trot as she approached the location that had been mention in the letter. Dismounting now within the realm of the ninth Kingdom, Briar made her way into the chambers taking her hood down as she entered the main chamber where some leaders had already gathered. It had seemed the matter was urgent as Adam was already underway addressing the problem at hand. Quietly Briar made her way to take a seat next to her husband as she listen to what Adam had to say. It was true what he said that something needed to be done about this Sovereign. He had caused much strife across the twelve kingdoms already and it couldn’t be allowed any longer. That was why they as the leaders of the kingdoms were tasked with dealing with this problem.

“Adam is right. We can’t let this Sovereign continue his reign of tierney any longer. This man had caused us suffering, our people suffering. And I for one can’t abide my people in pain, not as long as I am their ruler. We must strike now and hard if we are to stop this snake weaving his tendrils of darkness to ensnare our lands. But we stand together united against this evil as together we hold the power of our kingdoms, if we break and bicar that is when he has won and we will surely fall.” Briar said once Adam had finished. She was now stood her hands resting upon the table in front of her as she waited the other rulers responses.

drag my teeth across your chest to taste your beating heart
The saints can't help me now, the ropes have been unbound I hunt for you with bloodied feet across the hallow'd ground
Akela watched the new comer to the room, relatively young. Possibly still no older then the man cub his pack helped raise. Rude, slightly callous tone attested to his youth. Akela could only give a fanged smirk for the time being at the kingling. Temperance would come with age.

Even as the next entered, it was a queen, a treat for men, but Akela was not a man. He was a wolf, a creature in the skin of a human, but his eyes, the sharpness of his face and the lupine hint in his eyes gave way to other wise. There was nothing normally exchanged on the knowledge of the wolf King, he kept to his pack, his jungle, his law. Just as the Warrior Queen kept to her Island. In that they were at least kindred spirits, not to mention their mutual dislike for men granted those reasons were wholly different.

He watched them all continue to file in one by one, speaking their peace on the subject at hand. Approaching it like, Well humans would. While Akela had other Ideas, being what he was, his mind worked differently.

"While I am sure you all have plans to lead a strike with your armies, meeting steel with steel and heavy armor with kin. It will dead lock." He paused, making sure he gained their attention. His voice gruff and gritty from disuse. "My kind, we are less in number then you but we have defended the jungle for many a years just as my father and his father before him. How? We use our environment to our advantage. "

"Human intelligence is all grand and fine, but in the jungle, it leads to nothing but fear and poor judgment. They already have how many of your Man kingdom's under their yolk? Clearly your tactics need a change" He commented Idly, tapping his black claws rhythmically on the table top. "Adam, Is if few amongst you who can understand the idea of which I speak. He knows the might of the jungle."

Grab your sword and do your work.

Philip looked at Hippolyta, glancing back at the woman. The glance was starting to become a stare just when she started to talk, again. All this talking was nothing for him, and he just leaned his elbows onto the table, clasping his hands together and glared around the room at everyone present. " I would assume that- that is indeed so, Milady." He spoke, looking at the female warrior, his blue eyes burning. "- but, even if we had a plan, I would bet on it he would know about it before we could even do anything, Or is that just me being me?" He smirked at Hippolyta.

Even before he could say anything, something he would probably regret, Beauty walked in, and Philip smiled at the woman. Beauty was one of the only women he did trust, after his wife, of course. "it is good to see you too, Milady." When Beast said that he had to watch his tongue, Philip merely looked at him with a faint grin, not yet a smile, but more in the way of a smirk. " I did not say anything offensive, Adam. I was merely asking, my friend." Philip just sat back and listened to what Adam had to say, but the King of Enchantera just played a bit with a piece of his shirt, until someone else walked into the room. Philip looked up, and smiled when seeing his wife who'm sat down next to him, waiting until Adam was done talking.

"So if I understand this, we have to do something about this Sovereign. But then I ask you, what is it you had in mind? Just barge to him and ask him to leave? We all know that the most easiest things won't be good enough." Philip laid his hand on Briar' her hand and continued. "I do agree with my wife there, but if there is something I do think we all agree on, then it is that I, and I suppose you all do too, do not want to bring my family in any danger." Even if he had to shave his beard off because Briar would demand that, (Like she has done for a long time now, but he just didn't listen.), he would do it then if he could keep his family from any danger.

No // Shaving // Ha.

Beauty looked at her husband as he began talking. Reaching over she squeezed his hand softly trying to remind him that she was here for him too. She agreed with what he was saying, the question was how. Keeping the cloaked wrapped around her body she rested her hand on her stomach. The idea of a fight made her restless, especially if it meant Adam going out there but she couldn't exactly stop him either, especially not if he made his mind up.

She was startled at the other woman's appearance but quickly relaxed when she saw it was just Briar. Smiling at the young woman she nodded her head, making a mental note that she was going to have to get with the young woman soon. Sovereign was hardly a man. Though she was happy to hear so many agreeing with Adam. Quietly she nodded to the woman, “United is all well and good Briar, but the question is how.”

Leaning forward she rested her elbows on the table in front of her as she listened to Akela. She let her gaze drop at the steel meeting steel comment. Even the thought of Adam getting that close to Sovereign made her stomach turn. She tilted her head at him listening, “While I don't wish to see anyone else harmed anymore than anyone else here, what do you suggest Akela? Seeing as the current tactics, as you say, obviously aren't getting us anywhere.” She nodded her head in agreement to the last comment, “Which is why I believe my husband holds you in such high esteem.”

Beauty grinned at Phillip, she and Beast were going to have to get with Philip and Briar soon, even among all this craziness, they needed to make time to enjoy the little things. Belle sighed quietly leaning back against the chair she sat in, she was at a loss as to what to do to be honest. “If I understand the purprose of the meeting Philip that's what we're here to discuss.” She wished everyone would stop demanding answers of her husband, while they weren't around him, they didn't realize how much he already had on his plate.

Part Man, Part Beast!
The former Beast was growing impatient. These people; they looked to him for answers, answers he wished had. The ruler of the fifth Kingdom, Barbot, was one of the main leaders in the rebellion, and had spies in most of the Kingdoms, but he didn’t know everything – that would be impossible! There were places he couldn’t and wouldn’t put spies in, for various reasons.

Adam listened to Akela’s comment with closed eyes, brain working to trying to get a semblance of plan forming. The handsome former Beast did know what the Great Wolf meant; using their environment to their advantage would be good. The former Beast had done that in a skirmish or two; use the environment to his advantage. It had helped a lot, and had saved his life quite a few times. This sort of tactic would be a great asset in their battle strategies, though they would need to plan extremely well to pull it off.

Adam was glad that his lady wife was here; she would keep him from snapping at Philip. The man meant well, he knew that, but there were times where the King of Enchantera would irritate the King of Barbot. The handsome, Fifth Kingdom ruler would have to try and show some restraint. Adam squeezed his wife’s hand, and gave her a side look.

“Akela’s tactic is a good one, I have used it myself – it has worked,” commented the famous Beast of Barbot. He hadn’t told his wife of his leadership role in the rebellion. She would no doubt fret over him if she did know. He would tell her of this after the meeting, and of the spy network. She would need to know sooner or later. “I propose that we unite our armies. We keep on attacking the Sovereign’s forces separately so far, which obviously hasn’t worked. So, we need to work together. Bring as many people to our side as possible. The Sovereign is powerful, with many magic users and dark creatures.”

Adam looked to the other Rulers, waiting to hear what they would say. What he was saying was not wrong – he just hoped they would agree. They needed to be a united front if they were ever to defeat this wretched Sovereign.
